Rosemary Kirk
Biography
Rosemary is a junior doctor working in Sydney, having recently graduated from a Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales with the University Medal. During her studies, Rosemary completed an Honours project investigating genetic causes of congenital heart defects, and undertook a cardiology placement through the University of Oxford elective programme. At Oxford, Rosemary hopes to complete a DPhil in Medical Sciences, studying genetic cardiovascular disease. Ultimately, she intends to work as a clinician-scientist in this field. She is passionate about conducting research driven by patient need, and about ensuring that new genetic technologies are introduced to society ethically and equitably.
